First Lady Ella Johnson

Lady Ella Johnson (also known as Lady J), was a member of Zion Temple C. O. G. I. C.  for seventeen years before branching out with her husband, Supt. Michael Johnson, who is the richly anointed Founding Pastor of Agape C.O.G.I.C, since January 16, 2002.  While attending Zion Temple, she served in the Youth Department for seventeen years, five of which as the Youth Director.  She also served as a Choir member, Sunday School Teacher, Young People Willing Worker’s Teacher, Young Women’s Christian Council Treasurer, and Chaplain. Lady Johnson has worked in the following outreach programs.  The Nursing Home Ministry, Hospital Ministry, Jail ministry, Street Team Ministry, Tree House Ministry, and started the Utility Financial Support program for the clients that were leaving the Family & Crisis Outreach Center in Killeen, Texas and severed as YPWW Chair Lady of the Greater Waco District for over eighteen-years. 
 

Lady Johnson is a retired educator and worked in the education field for 30 years in which twenty-three of those years was with the Killeen Independent School District. She had the opportunity to work as a Special Education Mathematics Teacher, Athletic Coordinator, and coached volleyball, basketball, and track for Smith Middle School Athletics and received several awards in her teaching career.  She is the mother of two lovely daughters: Colesha, a Masters recipient from the University Mary Hardin and Baylor in Belton, Texas and Michelle, a Masters recipient from University of Texas in Arlington. 
 

She is a devoted wife and effective helpmeet of forty-one years to the Supt. Michael Johnson.  Lady J had the greatest challenge of her life when she was diagnosed with stage four breast cancer. She is a two time stage four cancer survivor and had to believe God’s report when the doctor’s report wasn’t so favorable. (To God be all of the Glory!).  In addition to being the First Lady, she is the Agape Church Administrator, supervisor of the Women’s Department, the Youth Activities Director, Director of Lady J’s Program of Learning, President of the Pastors and Ministers Wives for Texas Southwest 2nd Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction, she serves as a Board Certified Therapon Belief Therapist, and a licensed Evangelist of the Church of God in Christ Inc. 
 

Lady J believes that her assignment is to love unconditionally, bring clarity to God’s Word while helping people to discover their own purpose here on earth while living out a life of holiness before a dying world.
