AGAPE new journey has just begun!

The Lord gave Elder Michael Ray Johnson a vision to start a ministry. Pastor Johnson and his family stepped out on faith and had their first service at the Howard Johnson Hotel (formerly known as Park Inn). On January 16, 2002,  AGAPE had its first service with Jacquelyn Crawford being the first member.  Pastor Johnson was installed as Pastor of AGAPE on Saturday, June 29, 2002, by his spiritual father Bishop Ladell Thomas.  The installation service was held at Carol's Art Gallery, and the theme was "We've Come This Far by Faith." After the Lord gave Pastor the vision, he also placed this scripture upon his heart: O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is; To see thy power and glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary. Because thy loving kindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee. Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name. My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness, and my  mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips: When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches. Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice. My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me. Psalm 63:1-8.  The first phase of the ministry was to have hotel services, so our morning service were held at the Howard Johnson Hotel and night services at the Homebuilders Association Building. The Killeen Parks and Recreation and Civic Center served us for our special occasion services. God blessed AGAPE to move to the second phase in our ministry by providing us with a rental space, and in April 2003, we moved in a  space on Veteran's Memorial Boulevard. We have seen the hand of God upon us as he blessed us to move into the third phase of purchasing land. Our land consist of ten plus acres and it is located on Little Nolan Road, in Killeen, Texas. We are now in the fourth phase and the Lord has blessed us with our new sanctuary that will serve the community of Kileen.
